Our History

KBHQ-LPFM was licensed by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) as a Low-Power FM "Community" radio station, and first began broadcasting in Harrison, AR. on April 16, 2015.

KBHQ-LPFM is a 100-watt FM radio station - broadcasting on 100.7 FM - and streaming online at www.kbhqonline.com. See our Coverage Map.

As the ONLY radio station which is locally owned and operated in Harrison, AR., KBHQ-LPFM is a non-commercial radio station, and is supported entirely by donation and sponsorship.

Our Mission

KBHQ-LPFM is licensed to the "North Arkansas Performing Artists Coalition - (NAPAC)" - a Nonprofit organization based in Harrison, AR. NAPAC's mission is "...to promote Independent music and those who perform it, while supporting music programs in schools".

KBHQ-LPFM is formatted to play the popular charting Classic Rock music hits through 2005, with a focus on Local News and Information, Weather forecasts and Storm Tracking Radar, area events and contests.

NAPAC works through the radio station to promote Independent music artists of different genres, creating events to generate support for school music programs - including Band, Choir and Drama courses.

Michael "Mickey" Klein

Chairman of the Board

Mickey's radio career began in Chicago, IL. in 1980. By 1982, he was appointed the Marketing Director with a national radio marketing agency. Mickey relocated to the Ozarks in 1989, and created the first Internet radio station in the Ozarks in 1999. He first organized NAPAC in 2013, and constructed KBHQ-FM in 2015.

Rachelle Lesley

With a background in Customer Service and a penchant for detail, Rachelle's experience in working with various nonprofit organizations makes her a valuable resource to the NAPAC mission. Her dedication and creativity allows for the NAPAC mission to develop for the Sponsors, Members and Community.

Dawn Greer

Board Director / Promotions Manager

The Editor/Photographer at Rock Music United Magazine, Dawn has a 30 year carreer of touring and publicity. Publishing the magazine since 1990, Dawn has been dedicated to music promotion . She keeps things fun with our many concert ticket giveaways, which keeps our local business community connected with listeners.
